After NathanielS Restaurant we went to the city center where the public market, cathedral, and government offices are located. The City of San Fernando is the cultural center of Region III (Central Luzon).
Our food stop at the city center would be LA Bakeshop which is located in the public market (palengke). Dubbed “Home of the Original Cheesebread” the bakeshop kind of blends in with the neighboring stalls so you’ll have to look closely.
Now, onto the cheesebread!
Cheesebread (Php 3.00 each) – Always served freshly baked from the oven, the cheesebread was quite warm and appealing to the tastebuds. Considering that I was already feeling full from eating that heavy merienda at NathanielS, I found myself digging in the plastic for about four more pieces of cheesebread. The melted cheese and buttery taste was actually light.
LA Bakeshop – Home of the Original Cheesebread is located at the San Fernando Public Market just across the basketball court.
